Our Students - Mr Nelson's students

I would like to welcome all our new Year 4 and 7 students to their 2017 class webpage. I am very excited to be teaching two very important and interesting years of primary school this year and I am also looking forward to renewing my relationship with those students I have taught in previous years at School of the Air. I am especially excited about getting to know my new students and joining everyone on their journeys into the challenges and discoveries that their new grades will bring. I just love learning with the wonderful, creative and hardworking students we have here at Kalgoorlie School Of the Air (SOTA).

Term 1 will get off to a great start with Home Tutor Seminar in Week 4. Camp is always fun and a brilliant opportunity to see each other ?face to face? and renew friendships. This year we have a number of new students joining our school, so we will also get to meet new people, create new relationships and share our stories.

As the year progresses, I will add examples of our work on this page. I would invite any of my students to let me know if there is a piece of work they are particularly proud of, so that I can post it here for everyone to share in their achievements. I would also encourage my students to invite their family and friends to visit our page, so that they can see what each of our classes have been working on and to also look around the rest of this site and the other classrooms whenever they have time.

I hope that everyone is well, rested and excited to be back at school. For some of our students, this will be your first term at Kalgoorlie SOTA, while for others, this will be your last year at Kalgoorlie SOTA before leaving to begin the next stage of your education adventure ? high school.

I am sure that 2017 will be a great year and I am really looking forward to working and learning with all of you.

Mr Nelson.
