Kalgoorlie School of the Air

We have developed this site so that children and adults alike can find out how School of the Air
students do their school work.
As Principal of Kalgoorlie School of the Air I am very proud of the work that teachers, tutors
and students do in collaboration to achieve fantastic student outcomes.
On this site we hope you will be able to view some of our student work and the amazing learning journeys that they undertake.

Welcome back to all the familiar faces and a warm welcome to the new ones (staff, home tutors and students).

I hope you all had a lovely break over the holidays and that you are ready for all the exciting events which are going to take place in our school community this year. One huge event is our 50th birthday celebration which will take place in September.

Other highlights are our Home Tutor Seminar, which is promising to be very eventful, Sports Camp, Muster camp, ECE camp, graduation at the end of the year and home visits by your teachers. I hope to be lucky enough to be able to go on some as well!

This year, as it this the year of the Olympics, the ‘Amazing KALSOTA Torch of Glory’ will be going out on home visits and we will be making our way to London as a school, covering a distance of 14 735 kilometres and working on those fitness levels! We will also be putting together a scrapbook of the all the travels and adventures to display in our library for all to see and will also follow our progress to London on Morning Muster.

I look forward being part of an eventful 2012 with all the staff, students and families.
